I wish I can say that I very seldom dream about food......but I can't....so I won't. I will, however, let you in on my most current food dream: The sliders at PL8 Kitchen (formally known as Himarshee). What's funny is that I've been eating at Himarshee a lot in the past year. They've had Ladies Night every wednesday where their pricey (but yummy) dishes were half off. I think me and my friend Brandi were the Wednesday night regulars. Oh yea.....it was half off their drinks too....maybe that's what guaranteed our appearance every week. (shrugs). Sooooo......on our last visit, we discovered they up and changed not only their name, but their menu too! Fortunate for them, they kept their chef. Himarshee condensed their name AND their menu. They did away with their fancy dishes that consisted of meals like grilled free range chicken and replaced it with chicken sliders. While I will miss the Wednesday ladies night.....my taste buds have fallen IN LOVE with PL8's chicken, scallop, and beef sliders!
* Herb Marinated Chicken Breast aka "chicken slider" : red onions, arugula, fresh mozzarella, balsamic aioli
* Seared scallop sliders aka "scallop slider" - potato roll, kimchi, spicy aioli. Who would've thought of putting a scallop between 2 pieces of bread?!?! BRILLIANT!
The flavors this chef combines in these sliders are pure genius....it's like a romantic two-step in your mouth!
We also had the Grilled Rare Wahoo......sweet potato almond hash, garlic caramel .....all I can say Waaaahhhhhoooooo!!!!!!!!!!
With all the changes that have been made to the restaurant name and the menu......they didn't touch their drink menu which means........my FAVORITE drink the Cucumber Martini is still available! *happy dance* .....ok I'm done.
I'm a newly 30 (and I stress newly) year old attorney with a passion for good food. I guess I would fall under the category of "foodie" I love to eat.... sleep..... shop.... and eat! I find that my friends will often come to me for recommendations on restaurants for special occasions such as birthday dinners. The hardest question for me to answer is, "What is your favorite food"..... I really don't have "A" favorite food... because I truly enjoy eating a wide variety of cuisines. I decided to start this blog because I'm tired of hearing my facebook friends complain about me uploading food pictures every other week. Why not channel these pictures into a more effective mode of communication like a blog... and there you have it... the birth of Chow Bella! Enjoy!.... or should I say... Bon Appetite!
