I'm torn.......which wich?!?! @ 8:53 PM
I love sandwiches.......and I love them even more when they are creatively made. Subway is so zzzzzzzzz.......boring. I know I'm not the only one that has eaten a subway sub and was starving 20 minutes later. I had been hearing about Primanti Bros. from several people raving about their sandwiches. I have this thing where if 5 people rave about a certain eatery......I MUST see what the hype is about about. Primati Bros is well worthy of "the hype".
Primanti Bros. is a Pittsburgh based local fave with 3 locations outside of Pennsylvania situated in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
All of their sandwiches are served on fresh Italian bread, with fresh-cut french fries, cole slaw, tomatoes and provolone cheese all INSIDE the sandwich.
I thoroughly enjoyed the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. These creations are HUGE and I was left full for 2 days.....(ok maybe more like 2 hours #fatgirl)
Confession.......I'm slightly tempted to go get one as I write.....
Find more info about Primanti Bros. on their website http://www.primantibrothers.com
Before I tried PB, there was only 1 sandwich shop that topped my all-time favorite list and that was (drum roll please)...........La Sandwicherie. They have been serving French cuisine to the South Beach community on 14th street between Washington and Collins since 1988. If you blink you may miss it....but if you have had one of their sandwiches.....your taste buds won't let you miss this place.
Despite the location being smack dab in the hustle and bustle of Sobe (south beach).....you won't have a problem with parking because it's conveniently situated at the beginning of an alley where you can park your car and walk up to the counter. (doesn't sound that safe.....but it's fine) What you see in this pic above it what you get.
Your sandwich is prepared right before your eyes.....which isn't really that great because I'm usually salivating as they are creating this heavenly masterpiece below.
Turkey and Roast Beef on a toasted croissant is my usual. The secret to La Sandwicherie's success is definitely their homemade vinaigrette dressing. This stuff is so good that they package it up and sell it for $9.00 a bottle! These sandwiches are HUGE, so you could absolutely share with someone else.
I love this place!
